N Satheesh Kumar, The promoter of KUMAR Group of Companies is positioned as a revolutionary Icon in the face of the Industrial map of South Kerala. Managing his uncle’s business, M/s Rajan Cashew Company, in the early 80’s was his venture into business. The unprecedented initiative he had shouldered at a young age himself and for the benefit and betterment of the cashew industry for over a period of about one and half decade may be the reason for his success.After 15 years of business experience, he started his own cashew processing unit in 1996 and commenced export within a short span of time. The above achievement may be due to his hand on experience that he earned during the close and deep association with his beloved uncle Shri.Natarajan, Chairman and Managing Director of M/S Rajan Cashew Company which is one of the pioneers in the cashew business in Kollam District. During the association with M/s Rajan Cashew, he had ample opportunities to visit various African Countries for procuring Raw Materials and to explore new market in the Middle East.
After setting up his own business, he visited more than twenty Nations including US, Spain, China, Vietnam, Ivory Cost, Tanzania and Middle East for promoting the business and this helped him in identifying and implementing new and improved concepts in cashew processing including mechanisation. Subsequently he imported mechanised peeling unit with a capacity of 1.5 M T from Vietnam during 2013 as the first step towards complete Mechanisation of the processing Centres.Besides Overseas Market M/s Kumar Cashew Exports has its own noticeable presence in the domestic market all over India. In the year 2004 -2005 and 2005-2006, the Company’s Export Volume crossed 1500 Metric Tonne as evidenced by its audited Financials is a remarkable achievement. In 2006, he introduced the concept of diversification and ventured into Hotel and Hospitality sector successfully. He has also established M/s Samagra Granites and Crushers (p) Ltd with Head quarters at Punalur and own more than a hundred acres of land at Mundakkayam in Kottayam District.
His Counterpart Mrs. Rani Satheeshkumar is the Co-Promoter of M/s Kumar Group of Companies. She has played pivotal role in building the entity. She works with passion, integrity, transparency and commitment that have ensured inexorable success for the organisation.Today over 2500 Employees/Workers are part of his business empire spread over in Kerala and TamilNadu. Even in his busy schedule, he finds time to keep personal contacts with his employees from Workers to General Manager. He is also very keen to look after their welfare. He takes a personal interest in selecting key management officials based on Professional Competence, Academic, Managerial and other required qualifications. He was received many prestigious awards for his industrial, social and cultural achievements.Conducting meeting based on pre decided schedules and estimation of monthly targets helps him to co ordinate the production and finance functions go hand in hand and it also facilitates the maintenance of ample liquidity and co-ordination of the business functions.
As a measure of social responsibility, Kumar Group of Companies conducts a programme KANIVU with the object of helping students who are financially unsound to pursue their education. In the Year 2013-14, more than 35students continue their education under the program by availing full scholarship covering all the expenses from admission to examination. Moreover, KANIVU is providing to those people who are suffering from diseases and unable to meet the medical expenses.
